The Turing Scheme was created in the wake of Brexit to offer students of all ages the opportunity to study abroad, replacing the EU’s Erasmus programme.
The Project Brief
The Turing Scheme, set to replace the Erasmus+ programme, needed a new custom website that represented their professionalism and offered an easy, accessible way to apply for the scheme.
The client wanted an accessible website that showcases every opportunity that they offer, alongside advice for applicants and support. In short, the website needed to be a complete informational hub covering everything the Turing Scheme has to offer.
As a new, government-backed programme, the website needed to encourage as many visitors as possible to find out about their funding opportunities. Also, with the deadline for the launch of the scheme steadily approaching, time management of the project was of the utmost importance.
So, our team set to work creating a website that would stand out for all the right reasons.

The Campaign Outcome
The website created by the team at Lowaire Digital was inclusive, visually enticing and fully accessible.
Because the Turing Scheme was a new project with no prior history, it was ultimately very important that they create a lasting first impression. So, their website needed to be equally as informative as visually enjoyable.
We integrated case studies and numerous informational pages into the website, offering users the opportunity to learn about what students get out of learning abroad, who is eligible to apply, and the processes thereof.
Accessibility, as with all governmental projects, was of the utmost importance. The team therefore integrated multiple accessibility options including high & negative contrast options, grayscale, increased font size, and many more. Not only this, but the sitemap, layout and design took into account all aspects of accessibility, including the colour scheme and typography.
