British Sea Power’s personally curated micro music festival Krankenhaus needed a striking new website to celebrate it’s first year at Muncaster Castle.
The Project Brief
The client’s initial requirements were for an eye-catching new website that exudes both a welcoming, friendly atmosphere, easy-going usability whilst also providing succinct information about the festival itself.
First and foremost, the site needed a large number of pages to account for all of the information, including FAQs, directions to and information about the festival, and of course – the line-up itself, with each act requiring their own separate page. On top of all this content, the site also needed an easy-to-use payment system, so festival goers could order their tickets online.
As such, it was a large project – and not only that, but the client required a rapid turnaround, as the festival was taking place in September the same year. Once the site was launched, the client also wanted us to manage their social media accounts in preparation for the big weekend.

The Project Outcome
The team got to work right away, designing a striking, eye-catching site that would attract existing fans of the band and newcomers alike. Of course, it was also imperative that the site be informative and easy to navigate.
As such, we worked closely with the client, and updated any amendments as a matter of urgency, due to the rapid turnaround the client required. Within a matter of days, the site began to take shape, showcasing the bright and musically-colourful collection of artists who would be in attendance.
The team set to work designing a number of visual concepts, before the client settled on the perfect one. Powerful, pink, and straight to the point! Once the site was launched, the team set to work curating and crafting enticing social media posts in celebration of the festival.
